Aside from HiPaint app that I tested with Windows 11, Infinite Painter caught
my interest with its brushes particularly the watercolor brushes that comes
close with a traditional one if you set it properly (settings).
The challenge is to tweak some of its brush settings according to your own
preference plus a texture layer image just above your paint layers. Had some
trial and errors making my own custom brushes and almost gave up 🤣.
Best to read the
reference manual
on brush editor section to understand well and put it to test to see each
result.
The watercolor bleed is quite tricky as some settings may affect the outcome
of the bleed which may turn some unusual discoloration on the edges which
makes it unnatural.
Anyway, I want to achieve a "messy watercolor wash" instead of the smooth
blend to make it more water colory? 😆
Tested on Windows 11 and the results or appearance of the brush may be
different from an android device with no pressure sensitivity screen or
without dedicated stylus pen.
I have messed around with the dynamic strokes in IP settings with a generic
stylus pen but won't give me the results I want in android phone, though this
would work better for new android tablets as it is designed for this.
Here are some sample
practices I was able to come up with the custom brushes I made. Check the link below if interested with the brush.
